Story:
Jura is a beautiful island with a stunning mountain range in
the Inner Hebrides of Scotland. Until 2008 it was not reachable from the
Scottish mainland by public ferry, except through its neighboring island, the
well-populated island of Islay.
Juras peaceful remoteness continues to provide a retreat
for internationally famous artists and writers, the most notable example being
novelist George Orwell in the 1940s, when he completed his epic 1984 on
the island.
The island boasts a large population of wild red
deer, and also its own single malt Scotch-produced at the Jura distillery.
